Finally getting to work on it

Finally, I am understanding how this blog thing works... also how to upload pictures using Picasa and Hello. And therefore a couple of snapshots.

帮助 - help on posting

The blog is made of posts. Each post is thus posted on a certain day at a certain time. A post can have text and / or pictures. This website is mainly for putting in the text.

A post can be deleted or edited afterwards.

When someone visits the blog, they will see the ten latest posts. To see the rest of the posts they have to go to archives.

Click here to - 点击这里加新贴 - put a new post.

Click here to - 点击这里修改或删除 - edit or delete previous posts.

If you are not logged in, you would be asked to do so.

Another way to edit a post is to click the 'pencil' icon that appears at the bottom of each post on the blog. You have to be logged in for the icon to appear.

If you have some HTML knowledge, you can also put in pictures. Otherwise, the best way would be to use Flickr.com to post pictures. After clicking the link, log in using link at top right of page. The you can upload pictures. Note that any text you type in in Chinese may not appear as Chinese later on on the blog. In that case, edit the post and make the text Chinese.

(Another way to upload a picture is to use the Picasa application from a PC.)
